Boucheron Paris Retro 18 Karat Gold Diamond Necklace

Wonderfully designed and masterfully handcrafted by Boucheron Paris in ca 1940 this gorgeous Retro necklace is a stunning piece of period jewelry on the neck. The 2 center elements remind one of cowbells crafted in 18 karat polished gold, each set with on larger Old European cut diamond surrounded by 4 smaller Old European cut diamonds, with etchings around them giving the appearance of stars. Each flexibly connected to 2 double gold rope chains which are broken up by curved polished elements of which 4 on either side are also set with Old European cut diamonds. The necklace measures 16.5 inches in length making it a perfect fit around the neck.

Stamped Boucheron Paris on the back of the clasp, with French assay marks and makers mark on the tongue.
