Victorian Amethyst Gold Pendant Necklace

Beautifully designed and amazingly well handcrafted this Victorian slide pendant necklace from ca 1875 is a true manifest to this romantic era. The pendant section of this necklace features a deep purple foiled back elongated amethyst measured to weigh approximately 12 carats. The center gem is bezel set in 15 Karat gold and embellished by curved tubes of a floral-like design with 3 flexible extensions of blossom-like elements. Flexibly connected to a gold flexible link chain which holds a similar element of the same design also bezel set with a matching oval amethyst which has been measured to weigh approximately 3 carats. The length of the entire chain is approximately 18.5 inches long while the wearable length ( restricted by the sliding smaller element) is 16 inches long.

Weight 22.43 Grams 

The pendant its' self is 2.5 inches in length with a width a little over 1 inch. The necklace comes in its' originally fitted leather box.
