3.40 Carat Golconda D Internally Flawless Marquis Diamond Ring

This exquisite marquis brilliant is a true rarity and a beauty on every finger. Having been graded by the GIA with the highest color grade of D and a clarity of Internally Flawless it is also among the few to have been classified as Type IIA. The separate Type IIA report states that these rare diamonds belong to " less than 2% of all gem diamonds". They are " the most chemically pure type of diamond and have exceptional optical transparency", as can be seen in this 3.40 carat marquis brilliant. It appears much whiter than other D color diamonds and its purity gives it an amazing an unusual brilliance and fire. The perfect ratio of 2 to 1 in length attests that a master cutter has cut this gem stone to perfection. The marquis diamond was designed to elegantly elongate any finger, short or long, making for a most extraordinary chic look. Almost all of the Type IIA diamonds were found in the famous Golconda mine in India which is no longer in production. The marquis is set in a masterfully hand-crafted platinum mounting with a bright white baguette cut diamond embellishing either side of the shank.
