Ilias Lalaounis the renown Greek designer and jeweler started his career just at the beginning of the 2nd World War. Inspired by Greek history and antiquities, he transformed these into the designs of his jewelry which made them instantly recognizable in their unique appearance. In this iconic 1960s necklace the center piece resembles the outline of a fish with it's fins. Polished braided gold with small polished round spheres embellish necklace giving it a wonderful three dimensional appearance and reflection when light hits the surface. The inner circumference of the necklace measures 22 inches and length is added by the 5 inch center piece. Worn on bare skin or on material it has an impressive visual effect. Stamped 750 for 18 karat , Greece, makers mark for Lalaounis and numbered A.21. This necklace was manufactured in a limited edition.
