8.89 Carat Alexandrite Diamond Platinum Ring Henry Birks
Rive Gauche JewelryA spectacular 8.89 carat cushion-cut Alexandrite is the centerpiece of this 1940s ring by Henry Birks & Co. Alexandrites are among the rarest gemstones and were discovered in the 1830s in the Ural Mountains of Russia. This gem was named after Tsar Alexander II. The Alexandrite is accompanied by gem reports from GIA and C.Dunaigre. Birks was founded in 1878 in Montreal and created wonderful jewels from the Belle Epoque, Art Deco, and Retro periods, and is still known for its unique jewelry craftsmanship to this day.
