Uniquely designed and masterfully handcrafted this bold 1970s creation features an intense orange Madeira Citrine weighing 16.72 carats. The abstract cut of this gemstone reminds one of the shape of a volcano or mountain, with a partially smooth partially faceted top with its sides cut with long graduating facets. The unknown creator certainly wanted to create a one of a kind eye-catcher, placing the citrine in a wavy bezel of yellow gold which rests on an equally abstract shaped gallery worked in platinum, embellished by 9 bright white and sparkly round brilliant cut diamonds, weighing 0.82 carats.
