Vever Paris Art Deco Bracelet
Rive Gauche JewelryBeautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted Art Deco bracelet by Paris Jewelry Haus Henry Vever in the 1920s.
It is set with Old European cut diamonds and vibrant blue synthetic sapphires.
Since the beginning of the 19th century, and very much so in the 1920s and 30s, synthetic sapphires were commonly used in fine jewels. The aim was to match the colors perfectly, and since mining was much more difficult and not as sophisticated as it is today, Sapphires were relatively much less costly than synthetic ones; they even were a novelty.
Vever was founded in Paris in 1821 and was known for its avant-garde designs and fine craftsmanship, which is featured in this beautiful bracelet.
