Victorian 18 Karat Yellow Gold Cabochon Sapphire Diamond Ring

Beautifully designed and masterfully handcrafted Victorian ring from ca 1880. Centrally set with a luscious, deep blue natural cabochon sapphire weighing approximately 2.50 carats, with 2 bright white and lively Old European cut diamonds on either side, weighing approximately 0.40 carats each. The gold has been electronically tested for 15 karat, making it likely that this ring was manufactured in England, as this gold karat was unique to that country. Faded personalized engraving on the inside of the shank.
